Thought I'd get cracking. Why not start by fitting the headers. At first I thought the rocker covers need to come off as its a tight squeeze, but then found that with the plugs out, they slip in nicely from below.
Tried to use hex head bolts but couldnt get a spanner in there and the heads fouled. So popped out and got some stainless socket head screws and butchered an ball end allen key. Also got some clear RTV silicone gasket and some Chevy gaskets from Real Steel.This worked really well and managed to torque them all up nicely.Just got to wait for the gearbox mounting plate to be made to my measurements and then fit the rest of the exhaust. Also need to fit an O2 sensor to one of the exhaust bends for the EFI system which needs a nut welding in.
