Steering Column Housing

I had marked and cut out for the stalks and ignition barrel in the ally cowling earlier.
Leather strip was fitted.Stalks cut out, then when fitted and lined up, the ignition hole was cut out.
Stalks were fitted with rubber gaiters snug, then came refitting the ignition barrel. You need to push the little latch back down to allow the barrel back in.
The barrel needs 2 clicks to lock in, first click is that latch popping back into place and the second one is the barrel wedge latch that locks when its deep enough

Problem was that now the leather is on, I couldn't get it deep enough to lock in.
After much re trying and filing the housing face, it clicked home. phew.
The barrel pops out by inserting a small Allen key from the front with the ignition at 12 o'clock.
Will leave these stalks on for the test as they need identifying.
